Darshana Subramanian

Darshana comes from a family of classical music and dance lovers. She started taking formal trainning in Bharathanatyam at the age of 7 from Guru Smt.Revathi Ramachandran.

Darshana had her Salangai Pooja on September 5th 1999 and the occasion was graced by the famous Manipuri dancers - Jhaveri Sisters. She had her Arangetram on 20th October, with Smt. & Sri. Dhananjayan presiding over the function.





An enthusiastic and brigth dancer , Darshana's dance has always been noted for her abhinaya. She has participated in many of her guru's production both within and outside Chennai. As a child, Darshana 's portrayal of "Kutty Krishna" in her guru's production "Ayar Kula Tilakam" has won her wide appreciation. Darshana performed at thr R.R. Sabha on December 9th, 2002. She has also performed along with her guru for The Doordarshan Kendra, Chennai. Recently, she toured along with her guru to U.S.A and performed in about 15 cities.

An 11th standard student of P.P.Senior Secondary School, Darshana has also been the anchor for splash T.V.




Anusha Ravishankar
Starting her dance training at the tender age of 3 under Guru Miss.Radha & Mrs.Raji, Anusha Ravishankar's dedication and involvement towards the art at that age was astonishing. After completing her Salangai Pooja, she joined Guru.Smt Revathi Ramachandran and has been under her tutelage for the past 15 yrs. She has performed along with her Guru in several ballets like "Ambalathil Aadum Jyothi", "Aayar Kula Thilakam", "Jaya Jaya Bharatham" and "Om Saravana bhava" in a number of eminent cultural associations all over India.

Anusha has also been fortunate to perform at the Chidambaram Natyanjali Festival. She has also been a part of the "Dheiveega Thirumanangal" a TV serial telecast by the Doordarshan and performed for IWA (International Women's Association).

Anusha had her Arangetram under the auspices of Smt Lakshmi Viswanathan where she won a lot of appreciation for her work. After completing her under graduation in Computer Application in Chennai, Anusha is currently doing her Master in the University of Central Florida, USA. She has been giving a number of Solo performances and choreographing for a number of dance pieces for the last two years in her stay in the US.

Anusha is a member of the committe in SANGAM - the Indian Association at UCF (University of Central Florida) for students. She's the multi-Cultural Liason and is involved in organising all Shows-Dance, Drama, Music etc and interacting with other Countries Associations in this regard.
